RGP hosted a fantastic event yesterday. It was the first roundtable on international commercial mediation with a Russian element.
The event was attended by leading practitioners and experts from Moscow and Russian regions. Among the attendees were practicing mediators, members of the mediation groups of both the Russian Chamber of Commerce and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, mediators recognized by leading legal ratings on international mediation, including Chambers and Partners, and several renowned authors and academics on the subject.
The roundtable discussion focused on current trends in international commercial mediation in Russia and abroad involving Russian parties, as well as changes in Russian legislation on mediation.
It was the first of what I hope will become a regular event.
